Easter

It’s Easter, and you know what that means – we are all hopped up on Claritan and Advil! The Easter Cold and Allergy Attack is our strongest family tradition so far, and we are nothing if not traditionalists. We dyed eggs, the bunny came, and there was much cookie-eating.

Reading

We haven’t posted pics of the girls new, big-girl room yet, because we are waiting for the framers to finish framing some art from Grandma (yes, Grandma, the one that the kids DO NOT WANT to call, ever), and for some shelves to be delivered. In the meantime, M has a new trick. She can read. Here is a sneak peak of her reading Go Dog, Go (by Doctah Zeus!, as she says it) before bedtime.

Finger Painting

This week we had our first foray into fingerpainting, and it was fun! We dressed the kids in daddy’s old t-shirts (which they LOVED!) and put a tarp from grammy down on the floor, and planned a bath for (immediately) afterward, and then they went to town. This was, by far, the most fun thing we have done in the arts-and-crafts genre, and it beats crayons, hands-down, for inspiring some Serious Business faces from our artists.
